This is so exciting! Now available as a free download, my Modern Safer Sex Guide! It's a small .zip file containing up to date, CDC current safer sex quick facts for easy reference on your iPhone, iPod Touch, Palm, Blackberry, or any other mobile device. There are three files -- a .pdf (looks great on the iPhone), a .txt (for any text device) and a .pdb (for Palm, etc.).

The .pdf is chock-full of info-heavy links, and what's truly exciting about the guide is that it includes answers to questions about sharing sex toys, ejaculation in nose and eyes (hey, it happens!), and even a whole lot of really basic facts -- even a few about avoiding pregnancy. Please do pass this free download link around to anyone you think might need or want safer sex answers *exactly* when they're needed.

This is part of my Digita Publications and Open Source Sex mission -- yay! Sex-positivity for all genders, orientations, operating systems and devices. Special thanks to Libsyn for hosting, and the assistance of sex educators and sexologists from SFSI and The Center for Sex and Culture.

Oh, c'mon -- I know all the kids Twitter during sex these days.

Thanks. I'm a 23-year-old virgin, and, as such, am pretty insecure on the subject. I do not think that this could conceivably have been marketed better to me than to be referred to as "open source" sex information.

I mean, if something's wrong with it, I presumably can send in a correction someday - and I hope this lasts that long.

I agree with the advice, but the risks break down seems too simple and vague. I feel the risks should be quantified. For example, a women having vaginal sex with a HIV+ man will get it 1 in every 1,000 times they have sex. That is lower risk then getting pregnant on the mini pill (my partners current form of birth control). Some studies even have the risk at 1 in 100,000! Furthermore, the risk is even lower for men having sex with infected women due to biology. OK, condoms do lower the risk by 80 percent, but to say unprotected sex is a high risk of contracting HIV is very misleading.

My .02,

DC

Wow great blog and thanks for a free download i think people now need to wise up about safer sex i would always use a condom with a partner. People need to think about the risks they take when they have a sexual encounter. Great post i will be adding this to my favs and i wll be sure to pass the link round other blogs.
